NEWSROOM: Boardwalk Hosts 2018 Remodelers Advantage Roundtables

on Friday, 06 July 2018.

Fellow Remodelers Visit Boardwalk for an In Depth Analysis of Their Business

Rehoboth Beach, De. - Some of the most notable professionals in the remodeling industry gathered at Boardwalk Builders for the Spring 2018 Remodelers Advantage Roundtables session.

Roundtables is a peer-group program that brings together smart, savvy, non-competing companies to share experiences and help one another improve company performance. Eight remodeling executives from across the nation met in Rehoboth to provide each other with input and advice on how they can continually improve the services and products each company offers.

“The unique thing about RA Roundtables is that if you were to gather up all of the member companies from any roundtable group and plop them all down in the same zip code, they would be competitors, but because each group is made up of companies from non-competing markets from all around the country, you get the benefit of a competitor’s perspective in a constructive and friendly forum,” says Jason Slaysman, Production Manager at Boardwalk Builders.

During the two day conference, Boardwalk allowed fellow group members to analyze their business from the inside out. During this meeting, they reviewed systems and procedures, interviewed staff, and uncovered the strengths and weaknesses of the company. In addition to the company focused review sessions, group members also discussed industry-specific issues, like labor shortages in booming construction markets and the effects of the opioid crisis on construction.

“We really cover a wide range of issues,” says Slaysman. “ I am appreciative to be a part of an organization where fellow group members are so dedicated to improving themselves and their people. The feedback is invaluable. It allows us to develop highly effective and efficient systems for all areas of the business, and thus improve the remodeling experience for our clients.”

The Remodelers Advantage Roundtables is a program of Remodelers Advantage Inc., a Laurel, Maryland business that offers remodeling company owners and employees services designed to keep them at the cutting edge of business excellence.
