Facing the need for more extensive accommodations for their extended family, the clients came to the realization that their existing summer house could not be modified to meet those needs. As a result, the existing cottage was removed, and a new one constructed to their specifications.
The house is designed and constructed to reflect the classic, shingle-style architecture that the clients love. Low maintenance products were used wherever possible. These include James Hardie fiber-cement siding, Pella windows, Azek exterior trim, Timbertech decking and HB&G columns and railings.
The overall feel of the house is comfort and warmth coupled with open, airy spaces that give uninterrupted views of the ocean beyond. It is a place for family, fun, relaxation and renewal.
