Patty McDaniel, CGR
Founder & President of Boardwalk Builders
I’ve always loved houses, and had the good fortune to grow up with my four siblings in a unique home built together by my parents and grandfather. That home was remodeled and expanded several times during my childhood. Our family business, a Wilmington-based mechanical contracting business started by my father and his father, is now successfully run by my sister. I grew up in, on and around construction sites. Building is in my bones.
As a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, School of Architecture and Planning, I value applied education. In 2002 I achieved my Certified Graduate Remodelor designation from the NAHB Remodelors Council which insures standards for professionalism, experience and commitment to quality. We take excellence and education very seriously and believe you can’t have one without the other. Boardwalk Builders’ core staff of 16 craftsmen have specialized training in all aspects of residential construction and remodeling. Our staff attends trade conferences to learn about new building methods and high-performing materials, and I am an experienced speaker and panel moderator at professional conferences. I also author industry articles (see Articles pages).
I am proud to have been awarded a national award for my management abilities, Boardwalk Builders is a financially-sound and respected company. Our crew defines us. We earn the support of our trade partners by paying them on time and respecting their work. We push each other to the next level of excellence to achieve greatness for you, whether your vision is relatively simple or nothing short of ‘grand.’
Boardwalk Builders, Inc. is in its own class, I am told, with professional, responsive, accountable, uniquely capable craftsmen and managers. We look forward to pushing your project beyond your imagination!

"Boardwalk Builders and Patty McDaniel have made our house say 'Welcome' and we are delighted each and every time we walk on its porch, open the front door and say, 'Hello, pretty house, we're back!"
